Constance Oberle Geoghan (“Connie”) is an award-winning attorney who has been in-house counseling global companies on matters of mergers and acquisitions, integration of acquired assets, commercial transactions, litigation, compliance, privacy, cyber-security and risk management since 2004.  Currently, she acts as Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer to a select group of companies operating in the commercial real estate and datacenter space.  As Chief Legal Officer (“CLO”) and Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”), Connie is responsible for all aspects of her clients’ legal and compliance work.  As CLO she spends most of her time counseling her clients’ leadership teams on legal aspects of their long-term business strategies as well as leading the legal aspects of their M&A work.  She is also charged with coordinating efforts around her clients’ litigation portfolios, overseeing their IP portfolios and managing all legal aspects of their business operations.  As CCO she is responsible for creating, implementing and upholding her clients’ Codes of Business Conduct and other company policies, managing her clients’ implementations of and responses to whistleblower reports and ethics hotline issues and coordinating and running internal investigations.  She is also the architect of several company-wide employee training and ethics awareness programs. 

Connie is a frequent speaker and panelist on matters including corporate crisis management, compliance programs for small and mid-sized companies and practical implementation of data protection standards.

 

Previously, Connie worked as in-house counsel for the global commercial laundry equipment manufacturer Alliance Laundry Systems, the global data center provider Equinix (NASDAQ: EQIX), Regional data center provider Telx (NYSE: DLR) and the privately held Real Estate and Data Center companies Amerimar Enterprises, Inc., and Netrality Properties, LP.  Connie started her career as an associate at the law firm of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.
