JAMES MALLIOS
James Mallios specializes in acting as counsel to the restaurant and hospitality industries, real estate companies, and family offices. He has handled numerous employment law matters and has further worked in securities industry litigation. Mr. Mallios has extensive commercial litigation experience as well. Finally, Mr. Mallios has represented and counseled a number of hotels.
Mr. Mallios is additionally the Managing Partner of Civetta Hospitality (Amali, Bar Marseille, Calissa and Juniper). Civetta’s sustainable employment practices have received commendations from President Barack Obama, The Ford Foundation and the City of New York.
Prior to beginning Civetta, Mr. Mallios worked for the hospitality division of the Buccini Pollin Group, a real estate company with over $5BB in commercial and residential assets.
Mr. Mallios is a board member of the Hospitality Alliance, New York City Hospitality Council and East Midtown Partnership BID. He has spoken at Columbia Law School, Hunter College and the 92nd Street Y on labor related issues in the restaurant industry.
Representative institutions Mr. Mallios has counseled include Loews Corp., SL Green, and Cape Advisors.
Mr. Mallios started his career as an associate at the law firm of Liddle and Robinson, and then moved to Wigdor.

Mr. Mallios graduated from Fordham Law School in 1999 and Cornell University with distinction in 1996.
